How many are served and at risk, and how we help them

Numbers Served

From 7/1/18 to 6/30/19, 10,042 unduplicated individuals were served through 20,109 visits to food pantry partners in Delaware County. 34% of that number represents children birth to 18 years of age.

  • Nearly 25,000 individuals are at risk for food insecurity.

  • $8,362,000 additional dollars are needed to meet food needs for our residents.

  • Over 1,200 individuals were served through the weekend helper program.

  • Nearly 200 individuals will be served through the Delaware Farmer's Market, SNAP outreach program.

What we do

Through monthly meetings, the Alliance coordinates awareness campaigns, unified outreach efforts to reach the underserved and recommends funding for service delivery. In FY20, the Hunger Alliance partners will focus on the following:

  • Reaching members of the Delaware County community who have a need for increased food access.

  • Coordinating awareness efforts throughout the community.
